#OnThisDay 24th November 1995, a referendum was held and passed to remove the constitutional prohibition of divorce in Ireland.

This Socialist Workers' Party poster from the campaign highlighted catholic hypocrisy with an image of Bishop Eamonn Casey, reading: ""Let the Bishops look after their own families…"
