The eponymous paper of Red Action, formed in 1982 by expelled members of the SWP, looks at their 15 years of activity. Red Action were principally England-based, but with an active Irish branch in Dublin in the 1990s.

#OnThisDay 13th December 1970, The Socialist Party of Ireland (SPI) was formed.
Unconnected with the contemporary Socialist Party, the SPI was formed by former members of Official Sinn FĂ©in and others. It later merged with the Limerick Socialist Organisation to form the Democratic Socialist Party (DSP).
